Alphasuit was started by long time clothier, Sean McKee so that young professionals could afford custom made clothing. McKee has been serving executives at their homes and offices for the past 23 years. Up until he created AlphaSuit there was no affordable options for young professionals and others just looking for a more reasonable price to access bespoke suits. AlphaSuit has made that possible. In the past one would have to go to the big box retailers or the warehouse style stores to get their suits. These sources simply provide these men with suits that are made for everyone so the simply fit know one. An off the rack suit is made to fit as many men as possible. Alterations are made where possible to try and achieve a better fit but compared to a made-to-measure suit these alterations are not even close to being able to achieve a good fit. First there is the Athletic man who has a much smaller waist than his chest. An off the rack suit is made with a 6" drop which means that if a man is a 42 regular in the chest than the pants that come with that coat are a 36" waist. Problem is that someone with an athletic build will have more like a 34" or a 32" waist. A good tailor can take the waist on the pants in a couple inches but after that the alterations start to affect the fit of the garment in a negative way. Not only will the tailor need to take in the pant waist, he will need to take in the coat body as well to give a more tailored look. Same problem here, he can only take the coat in a couple inched before ruining the integrity of the garment. The lesson here is, don´t waste your hard earned money on an off the rack suit when you can go to AlphaSuit and have your suit custom made for the same price as you´d pay for a decent suit at the mall.
